Basic Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent or
* 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent or
* 8 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
* 5 years of relevant experience and a PhD
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, MBA preferred
* 7+ years of sales leadership experience with large enterprise and/or strategic accounts
* 7+ years of proven experience successfully managing and consistently exceeding >$50 MM quotas
* 7+ years of experience working in the Internet, telecommunications, cloud security, and CDN industry and demonstrated the ability to discuss the trends with intelligence and confidence
Desired Qualifications
* Ability to effectively motivate and drive success of cross-functional teams
* High-performing individual contributor and team player
* Must have strong situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others, and perseverance to handle challenging business situations
* Ability to develop effective business plans, gather market data, and translate into quantified account strategies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must have the highest ethical standards, coupled with a desire and ability to drive a world-class sales and service organization to new levels
* The ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad range of technical and business audiences
* Akamai experience a plus
