Are you the kind of person that is a driven, results-oriented Program Manager? If so, we have an opening for you! As a Strategy & Operations Program Manager, you are the primary force to operationalize product initiatives. This role has daily interaction with leaders and major stakeholders across Sales, Product Management and Marketing, Field and Industry Marketing, Engineering, and other internal partners outside of the division.

As a Technical Program Manager you will:
* Drive sales aligned technical programs to achieve performance KPIs, partnering closely with strategic/major account teams and other cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Marketing, Network, Platform, Services and Performance organizations.
* Understand & manage identification, collection, qualification and prioritization of performance and quality related issues from existing systems and processes.
* Ensure appropriate visibility and priority is maintained for projects and initiatives, including expectation setting, reviews, and communication for both internal and outbound customer messaging.
* Establish, track and maintain processes and tools for providing status and communication to Account Teams, core teams, senior and executive management.
* Own management of all core team activity, including all action items, overall schedule, inbound core team inquiries, and outbound team deliverables and activities.
* Manage and track individual customer projects and build data centric views on resources optimization.
* Identify and mitigate risks and roadblocks early, keeping programs on schedule.
* Closely monitor core team execution, continually identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and best practices.

About the Team
The Media & Carrier Division Strategy and Operations team is responsible for executing critical business processes, programs, and change initiatives across the organization. The team is focused on driving Product, Engineering, and Marketing activities across the entire product lifecycle, with emphasis on providing visibility into all areas of our programs, and improving efficiency where possible. The team is responsible for owning and driving execution of cross-functional programs that extend across all Akamai divisions.

Required Education and Experience:
* 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree or
* 3 years of relevant experience and a Masters degree

Required Skills:
* 5+ years of project management experience in one or more of the following fields: Business Operations, Program Management, Release Management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), development or operations engineering.
* 3+ years working effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, release management, network operations, product management, professional services, account teams, etc).

Desired Skills:
* Action oriented, capable of multi-tasking well, and able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
* Experience with JIRA/Confluence
* Highly organized, and excellent attention to detail; quick learner with creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
* An excellent facilitator of project requirements and schedules with the ability to influence peers and managers in cross-functional and global teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to drive the day-to-day activities of internal resources.
* Hands-on technical experience is a strong plus.
* Experience in a customer facing role requiring a high level of individual responsibility, sound business judgment and large enterprise account management, where an aptitude for improving customer satisfaction was successfully demonstrated.
