Third Shift Platform Operations Engineer - Security Clearance Required

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience  

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or it's equivalent or
* Relevant experience and a Master’s degree
   
Required Skills  
* 2 years’ experience administering UNIX-based operating systems.  
* 2 years’ experience working with fault detection, troubleshooting, trouble ticketing, escalation and other related operational concepts and processes. 
* 2+ years of experience with implementation and support of large, complex, IP-based networks 
* 2+ years of experience with scripting
* 2+ years of experience with database administration/ SQL scripting
* 2+ years of experience with project engineering
  
Desired Skills  
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  
* High level of attention to detail.  
* Excellent timeliness and dependability.  
* Demonstrated programming ability in Perl, Bourne Shell and/or Python.  
* Ability to understand and write basic SQL queries.  
* Fundamental understanding of the following protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, HTTP, SSH, SNMP, ICMP, SMTP, and LDAP.  
* Understanding of SSL/TLS protocol mechanics and cryptographic concepts. 

Is a Security Clearance Required:  Yes – To be eligible for consideration for this position, a current Top Secret clearance is required.   Candidates with a current Secret Clearance who may be eligible for Top Secret Clearance are also suitable for consideration. If yes, applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation & must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
