Due to our tremendous growth we are looking for driven, smart account executives who can foster and develop new and existing client relationships with the Retail/Commerce industry in Northern Germany.  

 

Akamai’s Account Executive is responsible for the sales cycle - from lead generation, renewals to deal closures by creating the demand within their territory across all business verticals and assigned accounts.

 

You will be expected to deliver against a quarterly Revenue & incremental new Bookings targets.

 
Responsibilities
 
  • Deliver against a revenue and incremental booking target through cross sell and upsell of Akamai’s extensive product portfolio.
  • Work with extended Akamai team to create and deliver customer business reviews.
  • Provide account planning to identify risks and opportunities across your install base.
  • Work with the lead generation team on closing new business.
  • Work with Marketing to create demand across install base.
  • Demonstrate sales forecasting excellence.

Required Education and Experience:


  • Relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent

 
Desired Skills:

  • Proven Track Record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quotas through direct and indirect field sales.
  • High ethics, integrity, and personal drive.
  • Strong knowledge of Internet and telecommunications concepts and demonstrate the ability to discuss them with intelligence and conviction.
  • Formal sales training and understanding of: Solution-Selling and/or Value Selling training or other metrologies.
  • Ideal candidates will bring with them a range of Internet industry-related contacts.
  • Strong background in Internet infrastructure and Internet Security and/or enterprise solution software required.
