Akamai's Infrastructure Engineering & Operations organization builds and maintains Akamai's Platformone of the world's largest distributed platforms. Our Server Hardware Engineering team is responsible for designing, qualifying. and testing servers destined for our growing network.

Partner with the best

As a Software Engineer II, you will be developing and qualifying new server hardware platforms. You also will be developing new software and automation frameworks. for testing these new hardware and embedded software to run on hardware destined for Akamai's growing network. You'll be a part of a team that designs servers and develops firmware. for our growing platform (over 300,000 servers in 130 countries).

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Qualifying and acceptance testing of server components
• Conducting Vendor management of OEM and ODM servers
• Contributing to the hardware development life cycle from conception to deployment to deliver high quality solutions
• Developing and working with systems responsible for testing x86 server hardware and embedded software
• Collaborating with industry partners and internal teams to design performant, efficient, and reliable computing systems

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have relevant experience and a Bachelor's in Automation and Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics and telecommunication or related field
• Have experience with the following languages: Python, C / C++ in Linux environment
• Have experience with Git or equivalent version control framework
• Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment
• Have a passion for computers and electronics and ability to lift 18kg independently
• Be open for a hybrid work (3 days on-site a week) in Cracow
